Dom grabbed Billy and pulled him out of the house. He then made several phone calls. Within minutes the police were there, followed by Peter.
The back door of Billy's house had been forced open, and the police were able to get some good fingerprints from that area, as well as from the box of chocolates - neither Billy nor Dom had touched it.
Peter made some phone calls, trying to find a safe place for Dom and Billy to stay until the stalker was caught. He finally located an apartment in a secure building - cameras and doormen at the entrances - but they would not be able to move in until the next day.
Peter then called Viggo and, after a brief explanation of what had happened, Viggo readily agreed to have the pair stay at his place for the night.
Dom and Billy went back into the house to get what they needed for that evening. They would come back in the morning to pack what was needed for the move to the apartment. Their bags were still sitting where they had dropped them earlier. They rooted through them for a change of clothes and their shaving kits - no need to take anything else.
When the police were done questioning them, Billy and Dom hopped into Peter's car. He drove them to Viggo's house, then headed back to help secure Billy's place after dropping them off.
Viggo was at the door to welcome the two men. He pulled them into a tight embrace and led them inside, where they found Elijah, Sean and Orlando waiting. All the furniture had been moved to the edges of the living room, and Viggo's king size mattress was sitting in the middle of the floor.
"Do I want to know what's going in here?" Billy asked, as Elijah handed him a beer.
"Well, Sean didn't want to be alone in the living room tonight and since Bean's not here - - -" Elijah trailed off.
"I'll admit it," Sean blushed a little. "I'm scared. Nowhere near as scared as you two must be, but scared enough."
"So the four of us are going to sleep together down here," Orlando put in.
Viggo, despite his obvious concern for Dom and Billy, had a bit of a glint in his eye as he said "Moral support for each other."
Billy smiled - he had a sneaking suspicion about what Viggo was up to.
Orlando cleared his throat. "So - uh - what exactly happened tonight?"
Sean smacked the back of his head. "Orli! Don't be so damned nosy!"
"I want to know! I mean, Viggo didn't really tell us anything. All he said was that there was a problem at Billy's having to do with the stalker and that we were all spending the night here."
"That's all Peter told me," Viggo defended himself.
Dom moved to put his arm around Billy - his usual protective gesture - but Billy shrugged his arm off and crossed the room to sit by himself in a chair. A hurt look passed across Dom's face, and he went into the kitchen to grab another beer. When he returned he sat on the floor at Billy's feet. He reached out to touch Billy's leg, but Billy pulled away, tucking his feet up under himself on the chair. Dom pulled his hand back, and made himself as small as possible on the floor, hurt and confusion clearly evident in his posture.
Billy told the others of how he and Dom were dropped off at his house, how they dragged in their luggage and turned on the light to find the mess in the living room. He described the streamers, flowers, plush animals, and the box of chocolates with the note on top. He was surprisingly, frighteningly calm while telling the story.
"But what was in the note? Ow!" Orlando's prodding earned him another smack to the head from Sean.
Billy took a deep breath. "It was more of the same shit - I love you, we're meant to be together - but worse. They - - - they threatened Dom. Said he wanted me for himself. Said that if he didn't leave me alone they would - - -" Billy's throat tightened up.
"Kill me," Dom finished for him. Billy flinched at the words. The other four men gasped.
"Fuck," said Elijah, which pretty much summed up the situation.
The friends sat and pondered things for a bit. Then Viggo broke the silence. "I know what you're thinking, Billy, and you're wrong." Everyone looked at Viggo except for Billy, who stared at the beer in his hands. "It's not your fault. Dom isn't being threatened because of you. There's some psychotic out there who happens to be fixated on you, through no fault of your own, and since Dom is closest to you, the person sees him as a threat. Any one of your friends could have been named in the note.
"So I'm a danger to all my friends," Billy said. "Wonderful. I can get you all matching t-shirts with bulls-eyes on them." He gave a short, bitter laugh.
"That's not what I meant, Billy. What I am trying to say is that the stalker wants to alienate you from us, your friends - to make you pull away for fear that someone close to you will get hurt. They want to own you, to completely possess you. They are trying to ruin your friendships, your relationships. You can't let that happen."
"It already has," Billy spoke softly, almost to himself.
But to Dom, the words were as loud as a shout. He quickly got to his feet, trying to hold back his tears, and practically ran to the guest room, shutting the door behind him.
"What was that all about?" Elijah asked, which earned him a slap to the head not only from Sean, but from Orlando, too. If Viggo would have been close enough, he probably would have smacked him. "Ow! What?!" he asked petulantly. Sean just gave him the 'you are a total idiot' look. Then "Oh - OH" Elijah blushed, and the others could see the realization dawn on his face.
Viggo turned his attention back to Billy. "You're letting it happen. And that is just going to give the stalker more incentive to keep after you."
For the first time since he had arrived at Viggo's, Billy looked upset. "I just don't want anyone to get hurt. I don't want Dom to get hurt. I'd never forgive myself."
"Dammit, Billy, this isn't your fault!" Sean's outburst startled everyone. "Do you love him?"
Billy nodded, and then said "Yes."
"Good. Because he loves you. Very much."
"I know."
"Then don't pull away from him."
"Sean -" Billy looked almost defeated.
"No. You are so afraid that, because of what is happening, he MIGHT get hurt. So you're going to run away from him, which will DEFINITELY hurt him. And what's more, it will hurt you too, because, quite frankly, I think he's the only reason you haven't had a nervous breakdown yet. I mean, you know we love you, and any of us would do anything for you to help you through this - hell, we're all here, aren't we? - but you need Dom. You need that connection that you have, that you have had since day one, before any of this happened."
Billy sighed. "Yes, well, what if he wants to pull away from me? He's the one being threatened. What if he's afraid of being with me anymore?"
"Did you even look at Dom at all, tonight?" This time it was Orlando who spoke sharply to Billy. "He tried to stay near you, to comfort you like he's always done. He is up in the bedroom now, not because he ran away from you, but because you pushed him away tonight. You've got yourself all tucked up in a little ball on that chair, like you are trying to hide yourself. He's not afraid of you, Billy. You're afraid of yourself." Billy winced at that statement, and the harshness in Orlando's voice.
The room was silent for several minutes. Then Sean spoke again, but with a softer tone of voice. "Please don't think we're upset with you, Billy, because we're not. It's this whole situation. I mean, I'm scared, and I'm not the one being stalked. I can't even imagine what it must be like for you, or Dom. We just want to help you. Both of you."
"I know," Billy said. "It's just - I'm so - frightened? confused? whatever - that I can't think straight. I don't know what I should do anymore."
"Well, for starters, go talk to your boyfriend," said Viggo. "Find out what he is really thinking, instead of what you imagine he's thinking. Then go on from there."
Billy sat and thought for a moment, then drained his beer and stood up. He gave Viggo, Sean and Orlando hugs, whispering "thank you" to each of them. Then he hugged Elijah because, even though he hadn't said much all night, he was still there to help. And besides, he would have pouted all night if Billy would have left him out.
*****
Dom was sitting cross-legged in the middle of the bed, meditating to some soft jazz on the radio. He heard the door open and close; he didn't have to look to know it was Billy. He felt the bed sag as Billy sat down. Without turning around to face him, Dom asked softly "Are you breaking up with me, Billy?"
Billy let out a breath. "I was just going to ask you the same thing."
Dom opened his eyes and turned around. Billy was sitting on the edge of the bed with his back to Dom, idly playing with a loose thread on the comforter. "Why would you think I want to break up?"
"The note," Billy said simply.
"What about the note?"
"Dom, they threatened to kill you because of me." Billy blinked back his tears.
Dom shifted his position until he was seated next to Billy. "So? I don't care."
"What?!" Billy turned his head to look at Dom.
"Well - I mean - I care, but it's hard to explain. Yeah, having someone threaten to kill me - I care about that. The fact that whoever this is has gone totally psycho - I care about that. How everything is affecting you - I care about that most of all. But the fact that I am being threatened because I'm with you - that's what I don't care about."
Dom had gotten up from the bed and was pacing around the room. Billy watched him. "But I care about it. You could get killed because of me. And that scares the hell out of me." Billy put his head into his hands and began to cry.
Dom went to Billy and pulled him up off the bed, enclosing him in a warm embrace. Billy buried his head into Dom's shoulder as Dom spoke softly into his hair. "Not because of you, Bills. I wish you would believe that none of this is your fault. You never asked for this, never encouraged this. Please stop blaming yourself, especially for something that hasn't happened."
The two men began to sway to the soft music as Dom continued. "Do you have any idea how much I love you? How I've always loved you? The first time I met you I couldn't get my heart to stop pounding. I never had that kind of reaction to anyone before. It felt like I knew you my whole life, and maybe even in a prior life. We just blended together perfectly.
"And every day that I was with you, I fell deeper and deeper. I tried to hide it, but sometimes I would let something slip. I always managed to turn it into a joke, though. And you'd call me a cheeky monkey and laugh at me." Dom began to rub soothing circles up and down Billy's back.
"There were so many days, my Billy, when we were in costume, that I was very thankful for those nice, long hobbit or elf cloaks. When you'd pull that innocent Pippin face, and those damn cinnamon curls. I would tent my pants so hard I was afraid I'd split the crotch. Had to hold the cloak over myself and think of naked John Rhys-Davies until I went down again." Billy giggled.
Dom continued. "But you are the most beautiful when you are just you. When we would go out to the clubs at night I never wanted to dance with anyone else, never wanted to go home with anyone else, because no one could compare with you.
"I was so afraid you would find out how I felt about you, and you'd hate me. Not because I'm gay - well, bi, actually - I knew that wouldn't matter to you. But you never indicated that you were into guys, always talking about girls you dated, or wanted to date. I was afraid you would hate me for loving you like that - like this. Afraid that if you knew and didn't return my feelings we wouldn't be friends anymore because you would always wonder if I was coming on to you."
Dom was shaking with emotion. "I never thought I had a chance with you. I never thought you would love me back the way I wanted you to. I told myself it was enough just to be your friend, and anything else would only be in my dreams." He took a few deep breaths to steady himself. "The first time you kissed me, Bills, it felt like a thousand Christmases all at once. I thought my heart would burst out of my chest. And every kiss since, every touch, has brought the same rush of feelings, the same pure joy that I felt the first time.
"God, I love you, Billy. I love you so much. Please don't leave me. Please stay with me."
Billy lifted his head and looked at Dom, the tears on Dom's face matching his own. "Love you too, my Dommie. More than I can finds words to say. I'm so grateful to have you, grateful that I took a chance on letting myself love you."
Dom opened his mouth to speak, but was silenced by the touch of Billy's fingers to his lips. "Shh. Let me talk now." Dom nodded. Billy leaned in to rest his forehead against Dom's as they continued to dance together.
"I felt what was between us from the start, too. But I couldn't - wouldn't - admit to myself that it was anything more than friendship. If I did, it would bring out something that I'd been denying all my life. It's still hard for me to think about, or talk about, even with you." Billy paused for a moment, letting the soft massage of Dom's hands on his back help to soothe his nerves.
Billy began to haltingly speak again. "I've always been attracted to men as well as women, too. But growing up where and how I did - if anyone suspected you were gay you became a target, and I was a target enough being as small as I am. I'm sure you know what that is like." Dom gave a little nod, remembering plenty of fights he had gotten into over his size.
"So I refused to allow myself any - more than friendly - feelings towards men. Only dated women - a lot - to try to convince everyone, including myself, that I was completely straight. And for a long time I was convinced." Billy sighed. "Then you came along."
Billy smiled to himself. "I couldn't wait to see you each day, because being with you is like the sun shining inside of me. Even when I was a bit down, feeling old and tired and homesick, all you would have to do is look at me with those beautiful ocean eyes, and suddenly everything was all wonderful again.
"I will never forget the night of our first kiss, Dommie. I had always felt like a puzzle missing some pieces - two pieces. I realized that night that you were one of those pieces; and that I had been holding the other piece all along, afraid of what would happen if I put it into place. But lying in your arms that night, I knew it was right - that it was time to complete my puzzle. I had to kiss you, to let myself return the love I felt from you."
Billy caressed Dom's cheek, gently wiping away the tears, heedless of his own. "There are days when I think to myself that I couldn't possibly love you any more than I do at that moment, but then I'll hear your voice or see your face, and I fall even further in love with you. You are such a part of me that I don't think I could bear to be without you. I would be a fool to push you away. I'll stay with you as long as you want me to, my Dommie."
"Forever sounds good," Dom managed to whisper before he pulled Billy into a hungry, passionate kiss.
The two men held each other - touching and tasting as they moved to the music. Craving even more contact, they undressed each other, and then eased back onto the bed, pressing as much of their bodies together as they could.
Dom felt his passion intensifying, and his whispered declarations of love became please for Billy to make love to him.
"Dom, are you sure - I've never - I don't want to hurt you."
"Please, Billy. I'm sure. I want you inside of me." Dom rolled onto his back, pulling Billy on top of him. He reached over to his shaving kit sitting on the bedside table, and pulled out a bottle of lubricant. Billy quirked his eyebrow, and Dom sheepishly said "Wanted to be prepared for when you said yes."
Billy smiled and let Dom push him upright, kneeling between Dom's legs. Dom uncapped the bottle and poured some of the thick fluid onto his hand. Billy gasped at the coolness of the lube on his cock, then moaned as Dom's fingers stroked him.
When Billy's cock was thoroughly coated Dom grabbed Billy's hand. He poured more lube onto Billy's fingers, then capped the bottle and tossed it aside. He laid back on the bed, bringing his knees up to his chest, spreading himself open for Billy.
Billy reached down and gently circled Dom's opening before easing a finger inside. He watched his finger disappear into Dom's body knuckle by knuckle, and then looked up at Dom for reassurance that what he was doing was alright. Dom looked back at him, desire shining in his eyes, and said "S'good, Bills."
Billy thrust his finger in and out a few times, and then added a second finger. Several more thrusts, then a third finger joined in. Dom softly moaned in pleasure as Billy prepared him, then gasped "Now, Billy. Need you now."
Billy slid his fingers out, and then pressed the head of his cock to Dom's hole. He pushed lightly at first, not realizing that, even after fingers, the opening was still much tighter than a woman's.
"Harder, Bills. You gotta push harder," Dom pleaded. Billy pressed in again, when suddenly the head of his cock slid through the tight muscle ring and he found himself half way inside. He paused, lost in the tighthotwet surrounding him. Another slow, steady push and he was completely inside.
"Oh, God, Billy," Dom moaned as he wrapped his legs around Billy's waist. The stretch-burn of Billy's cock filling him was intense, and he held Billy still, kissing him softly, until the burn subsided. Then he rocked his pelvis, encouraging Billy to move.
Billy began to thrust, slow and gentle at first, then building in speed, harder and faster, his instincts taking over. Words began tumbling from his mouth, his Scottish accent thick with passion. "Dommie, my Dommie, love you so much. Love you so much, baby. My Dommie. Dommie, Dommie . . ."
Dom was in ecstasy. He had dreamed of this for so long - Billy making love to him, Billy's cock deep inside him. But this so much better than his dreams had ever been. He could feel his own cock trapped between their stomachs, the hair on Billy rubbing against him with every movement.
He felt the rhythm of Billy's thrusts begin to change, and he knew he was close. He grabbed Billy's face between his hands - he wanted to watch Billy come. Dom found himself looking into deep green eyes, and the emotion he saw reflected there pushed him over his own edge. He came hard, his eyes never leaving Billy's, hot liquid spurting between their bodies as Billy's seed filled him.
Then they were kissing, riding out the aftershocks of their lovemaking, until Billy collapsed bonelessly onto Dom's chest. The two men held each other, reveling in their love, and let sleep take them.
*****
Sean was lying on the couch in the living room, feeling rather giddy - and a little bit left out. First he had witnessed the very - uh - interesting action on the living room floor. Then he heard the thumping of the bed in the guest room. Like rabbits, he thought, then at least Dom and Billy seemed to work things out. And finally I hope Christine gets back from the States soon, as he drifted off.
*****
The next morning Viggo drove Billy and Dom to Billy's house. Sean, Orlando and Elijah were following in Sean's car. Peter was filming scenes that didn't require any of them that day, so they all volunteered to help with the move to the apartment.
They all took several minutes to look at the chaos in Billy's living room, and then they proceeded to pack up clothing, linens, stereo, and anything else Billy might need. Once all of the stuff was packed in Sean's car, they headed to Dom's house.
Upon arrival, Viggo immediately noticed there was something wrong. Dom's front door was partially open.
Sean called the police. Viggo grabbed his sword out of the car, and they all cautiously approached the house. Viggo toed the door open the rest of the way, then, sword at the ready, led the men into the house. What they saw was terrifying.
Dom's living room was trashed. All of his furniture was broken into pieces. The cushions and pillows from the sofa and chairs had been ripped to shreds, stuffing scattered everywhere. One leg of the coffee table had been thrown through the television screen. The rack containing Dom's stereo system had been toppled - the electronics were irreparably shattered.
All the pictures had been torn off the walls. In their place was black spray-painted graffiti - threats. YOU WILL DIE DOMINIC. I WILL KILL YOU.
The most chilling thing of all was hanging on the far wall. A doll, about two feet high, dressed as Dom, complete with leather wrist cuffs. There was a noose around its neck. And it was pinned to the wall by a butcher knife driven through its chest.
