So, I have seen Viggo's ratty old couch in his studio in many fics and have even included it in mine. What I want to know is this: is there a picture or comment somewhere that gave rise to this couch in Viggo fiction, or has it simply become "canon" because it suits our purposes as authors so well?

Not sure.... but what artist DOESN'T have a ratty couch in their studio? I believe it's a prerequisite! :D

I agree completely. It's like how can a mad scientist truely be a mad scientist? he must have a red velvet couch in his lab.
