Feedback: Please, oh please! This is the first LOTR RPS I've ever written & I would love to get some ideas on how to improve my writing!
A/N: First off, this is completely unbetaed, so I'm solely responsible for any mistakes. This is something I've been playing with off & on for several months now. It started out as just a short little writing exercise, but it seems to have grown into at least 3 parts...yeah, I'm really long-winded. What originally came to mind was the idea to write about B/D getting together during filming, but to do it from the POV of one of their fellow castmates. Orlando was the one I ended up feeling most comfortable writing, so he's elected. There's really nothing new here, nothing that hasn't already been done, but I'm hoping this will get me back into the habit of writing. And now, off with the horns, on with the show! *Oops, wrong fandom!*

Orlando released a soft sigh as he eased into his seat. He cast a glance at the multitude of beer mugs littering the table, wondering which one might possibly be his. Shrugging, he picked up the closest one then turned back to the dance floor. Having a couple broken ribs put a serious damper on Orlando's normally exuberant style of dancing, but it did provide him with the perfect opportunity to study his fellow castmates - an activity he truly enjoyed, but was rarely still enough to participate in. His eyes roamed over the dance floor picking out his friends, a smile ghosting over his face.

Orlando's attention was immediately drawn to the center of the dance floor where Viggo and Sean were moving together. His eyes widened a bit as he watched the two men. Orlando had never seen two reasonably straight men who could heat up a dance floor the way Viggo and Beanie could. As he looked around, Orlando realized that he wasn't the only one enjoying the show, half the bar - male and female - were ogling the two men appreciatively. Orli smiled indulgently then let his gaze wander on.

Ahh, Elijah! A slight giggle escaped Orlando's lips as he watched Lij dancing frenetically. Elijah was quite possibly the only person on earth who danced with more abandon than Orli himself. 'And with considerably less grace' , Orlando added to himself, as one of the ladies dancing nearby ducked quickly to avoid being hit by a flailing arm. Orlando shook his head and moved on.

Liv and Miranda were giggling together at the bar, looking incredibly girlish and breath-takingly beautiful. 'Our princesses', Orlando thought lovingly. Orlando had been thrilled to meet Liv Tyler and was even more thrilled that her inner beauty was equal to that on the outside. They had become fast friends and Orlando loved her like a sister. Liv glanced over at Orlando and flashed him a quick smile before turning back to her conversation with Miranda.

His eyes moved on to a table near where he was sitting and he smiled again. Craig and Karl were sitting together deep in an animated conversation. Well, Craig's half of the conversation as animated, Karl's half consisted of him shaking his head and saying "No, Craig!" repeatedly. Orli knew Craig had made it his mission in life to get Karl out on the dance floor and the scene before him had been repeated countless times since they had begun coming out with the Fellowship. Karl failed to see the reasoning behind giving up "beer time" for dancing. It had turned into quite a game between the two friends and at the moment, Karl seemed to be winning.

Orlando's roaming eye finally landed on the pair he had originally been looking for, although, to his surprise, they weren't together. He shook his head a bit as he watched the two remaining hobbits. Billy was dancing with a breath-taking blonde while Dominic had joined Liv and Miranda at the bar. Orlando smiled knowingly when he realized that Billy's attention was not focused on the girl in his arms, but on the conversation going on at the bar. Orli looked back at Dom and the girls, curious to see if Dom was aware of Billy's scrutiny. At first glance, Dom seemed to be completely focused on what Liv was saying, but as Orlando watched for a little longer, he realized that Dom's body language was giving him away. Although he was looking at Liv, Dom's body was facing outward, in Billy's direction, and every few seconds Dom's eyes would flick over to Billy for an instant before returning to Liv. Dom held his beer in his right hand and his left arm as hanging by his side. As Orlando watched, he realized that unconsciously Dom held his left hand out in front of his body just a fraction ... almost as if he were reaching out for something.

"What are you thinking so hard about, Elf Boy?" Viggo asked, as he plopped himself down in the chair beside Orli.

"That!" said Orlando triumphantly. Billy had disentangled himself from the lovely blonde and had worked his way over to join the other three at the bar.

"Not following you, Orli. What's that?"

"Did you see the blonde Billy was dancing with, Vig? She was gorgeous! You know what Billy was looking at?" Orlando paused for dramatic effect. "Dom! He barely even glanced at the girl . He couldn't take his eyes off Dom. And Dom was just as bad! They're both so completely smitten with each other, Viggo, I don't know why they don't just ... "

"Whoa, Elf Boy! Of course they're crazy about each other. Everyone seems to know that but them. But, that doesn't mean that you need to start playing Cupid! They'll get it together when they're ready. It could ruin everything if you try to rush it."

Orlando pouted for a minute. "But... come on, Vig ... look at them! If there was ever a couple that truly belonged together, it's got to be Billy and Dom. Besides, I was planning on being subtle! I wasn't going to lock them in a room and tell them they couldn't come out until they had shagged each other senseless!" Orli paused, thinking. "Although, that may not be a bad idea, come to think ..."

"Orlando!"

"Okay, fine! " Orlando huffed. "It was just a thought. But seriously, Vig ... maybe just a tiny little nudge in the right direction?"

"Orli, I know you mean well and I also know that you're going to do what you want anyway, no matter what I say, but please be careful. I agree with you that Billy and Dom belong together, but I don't want to see either of them get hurt by jumping into a relationship they weren't prepared for."

"I know, Viggo. I understand. I love them both and you know I would never do anything that might hurt them. But, I don't want to just stand by and watch them pining away for each other, either. I promise I'll be careful, ok?"

Viggo sighed, knowing that Orlando had a valid point. "Ok, Elf Boy. I know your heart's in the right place ... just go easy on 'em! So, have you got a plan?"
