Summary: It's the Middle Ages. Dom is an orphan. Billy is a butcher. Stuff happens.
Warnings: Angst. Latin. Messed-up relative ages of characters. Treated several characters very, very shabbily (but really I love Peter and Ian, yes I do!).
A/N: Huge, enormous, sloppy thanks go to lord_alexander aka Sal, who beta'd me, babied me, and shagged me into submission. Erm, I mean, provided loving and witty advice on making this much more historically accurate than it would otherwise have been, not to mention providing much-needed stylistic help. *snogs Sal madly, as per usual
