Elijah watched Dominic spin around in circles, laughing as the rain fell around him in long streams. He stood under his umbrella, safe from the wetness that threatened to ruin his perfect persona. A smile graced his face as he watched the guy spinning more, laughing harder still.
Then he fell, just like that, hard onto the ground. Elijah took a small step forward, worrying he was hurt, but Dom merely laughed, stood up and stumbled towards him.
“You are so dumb,” Elijah shook his head, a small smirk playing on his lips. “What type of person spins around in the rain?”
Dom stepped under the umbrella and his breath ghosted over Elijah’s lips, making him shiver slightly. “At least I still make you want me. That’s all that matters right?”
’Well I saw you with your hands above your head
Spinning around, trying not to look down
But you did, and you fell, hard on the ground
Then you stumbled around for a good ten minutes
And I said I'd never seen anyone look so dumb before
And you laughed and said I still know how to turn you on though’

Elijah’s fingers ghosted over Dom’s face as he inhaled softly, sleep sending him into new worlds. He was so perfect when he slept and it took them both away from what was their reality.
The reality that Elijah was still trying to overcome the stereotype of being Frodo Baggins. The reality that prevented them from being able to go out in public without someone recognizing them. Elijah hated that reality and more often then not he just wanted to visit Dom in his dreams, where things were happy.
He had tried to tell Dom that he loved him, he always did, but he was never able to get the words out exactly right. Those conversations normally began with him stuttering over the three simple words and then Dom cutting him off.
“I know. I love you too.”
Elijah liked that. Dom always knew exactly what he meant.
’You're the only one who
Drags me kicking and screaming through fast dreams
You're the only one who
Knows exactly what I mean’

Dom pushed the spatula through the eggs, scrambling them above the heat of the stove. A smile crept up his face as he heard the shower stop running. That meant Elijah was nearly ready to come out to him. Dom still felt butterflies soar through him at the thought. Why did Elijah have such an affect on him?
His thoughts drifted to how they met and how they started dating before the movies even came out. That was so long ago. And now they was done with the series, but in Dom’s mind Elijah would always be his Frodo Baggins.
Elijah wasn’t what Dom had expected, at all. He was ready to meet some stuck up little brat that had been a star his whole life but Elijah was so sweet and wonderful and Dom had never felt more in love then he did at that moment. Was that wrong?
“Mornin’,” Elijah mumbled, leaning over and pressing a lingering kiss into his lips.
He was such a great kisser and if you asked him, he wouldn’t deny it.
’And I probably forgot to tell you this
Like that time I forgot to tell you about the scar
Remember how uncomfortable that made you feel?
See you're not what I expected
But you're the only one who knows how to handle me
And you're such a great kisser and I know that you'd agree’

Dom had no doubt that, at some point in time, Elijah and she would marry, however informal the ceremony was. But they were young and it was okay that marriage wasn’t in the immediate future.
Dom’s dreams centered around this man, the one who slept beside him and had that way of cuddling so close to him that he felt like Elijah was surrounding him completely. This man who remained friends with the cast from their movies because he was nice and concerned like that.
This man who understood everything Dom had to say, every time he wanted to paint a picture to remember scenes they shared together.
He understood.
’You're the only one who
Drags me kicking and screaming through fast dreams
You're the only one who
Knows exactly what I mean’

A smile lit Dom’s face as he slipped his hands between Elijah’s hips. “I still say your small… honestly.”
“Give it a rest,” Elijah muttered and Dom couldn’t help notice that he seemed a little hurt by his words. He really hadn’t meant them.
“I’m sorry. I don’t mean it,” Dom looked down at his own hands, pulling them from Elijah.
Elijah looked curiously at him.
“One day, I know you’ll realize that you could have almost any guy or girl out there and you’re going to realize that I’m not really worth all this effort and you’re going to leave. But if… if you don’t know how amazing you are… will you stay?”
Elijah looked at Dom and slowly leaned forward, pressing his lips to his in a sweet touch.
’I hope you can forgive me for that time
When I put my hand between your legs
And said it was small
Cuz its really not at all
I guess there's just a part of me that likes to bring you down
Just to keep you around
Cuz the day you realize how amazing you are
You're gonna leave me’

“It’s okay, don’t worry luv… cough it up,” Elijah patted Dom’s back with his free hand as he held offered Dom some tissues with his other hand.
Dom threw up once more, the alcohol swimming through him and making him lean harder against the toilet. He knew he shouldn’t have drank that much.
As Elijah laid him in bed, a smile softly graced his lips. He shouldn’t have let Dom drink all the liquor that he did, but he knew his times of getting drunk were rare. Dom should enjoy them when he could.
His smile grew more as he stripped to his boxers, spooning in behind him. He was going to marry this man. Elijah was going to marry Dom because Dom understood that it was okay to still get called ‘Frodo,’ on the street, even when you are twenty four years old.
’You're the only one who
Hold my hair back when I'm drunk and gets sick
You're the only one who
Knows exactly what I mean
You're the only one who
Drags me kicking and screaming through fast dreams
You're the only one who
Knows exactly what I mean
Exactly what I mean’

Dom watched with amusement, under the umbrella, as Elijah spun in circles, the rain falling hard around him. He looked really silly with his hands thrown up above his head, his mouth open and facing the sky.
Elijah always made fun of Dom when he did that. He would never get over how great it was to see him making a fool of himself.
Elijah fell to the ground, hard and he turned to Dom, smiling.
’Well I saw you with your hands above your head
Spinning around, trying not to look down
But you did, and you fell, hard on the ground’
THE END!
