Dom’s nails were painted black, because Billy had said it looked fetching on him. The nail polish was chipped and battered, ruined beyond repair; like his friendship with Billy, really. He had fucked up, royally. It was in no way Billy’s fault, which made Dom feel that little bit slimier. He’d painted them because Billy thought it complimented him, but Elijah had liked them too. So he had ended up going home with Elijah after the club that night that Billy was stuck in the house ill. He ruined his friendship and his nails, that night, clawing at Elijah’s back
