Summary: Dom get a new body and Billy notices (Dom takes up boxing)

Dom had immediately felt something electric between him and Billy when they first met. Soon that feeling turned into the best friendship he had ever experienced. The best friendship he had ever heard anyone ever of having with someone they were not intimate with.

He and Billy could talk about anything. Anything. Dom had confided in Billy the he thought he was bisexual and Billy had not judged him. In fact he told Dom he admired him for knowing himself and accepting it. Billy had told Dom about losing his parents and the pain Billy had never shown anyone flowed from his broken heart one night as Dom held him till they fell asleep in each other’s arms.

Their friendship only strengthened over the years. Even after Dom moved to California their friendship stayed strong. Their phone bills increased, but neither thought it a burden. Billy would come to California and stay for two-three weeks at a time. They would go on holiday together, and spend Christmas and New Years together every year.

Billy never felt jealous of Dom’s relationship with Elijah. He knew they had become close since Dom’s move but Billy knew Dom. Elijah was fun and a good friend to them both, but Billy would always be Dom’s best mate.

The visits to California and the holidays were becoming few and far between now that Billy had found love. She made him feel alive and loved. She filled the void left when he was not with Dom. Soon she became a reason not to need Dom.

When Billy canceled their Christmas/New Years ritual last year Dom knew he had taken second seat to her. He was hurt, but understood. He was happy for Billy. Billy was in love and Dom loved to listen to Billy when he talked about how she made him feel. Listening to Billy helped Dom know what true love should feel like. Dom now knew what he should be looking for in a relationship.

Over the past few months, eight months to be exact, Dom looked for love. He would go on a few dates with someone only to realize they were not the one. He would call Billy and ask him again how he felt when he was with her. As Billy spoke his voice would soften and Dom could almost see his luscious green eyes twinkle.

Dom had even entertained the thought that perhaps he was in love with Elijah. This concept was destroyed however one night when they had been out clubbing and drinking. Back at Dom’s place when the two men leaned in to kiss one another they started laughing uncontrollably. Dom knew he could not fall in love with his friend. Well, maybe Billy, but…..

Perhaps Dom was looking too hard. At least that was what Billy told him. Billy was more than likely right. Billy was always right. “Once you stop looking, love will find you,” Billy had told him more than once.

To keep his mind off the subject of finding his true love, Dom had gotten into the habit of working out. He especially enjoyed boxing. Something about his gloved hands pounding the punchbag, the sweat pouring from his body and the complete concentration appealed to Dom. He had hired a trainer and would work out 4 to 5 times a week.

Soon Dom had bought a freestanding punchbag for his home. He would go out to the garage and workout whenever he felt restless or bored. He would play his music entirely too loud and get lost in the songs as he beat the fuck out of the punchbag.

Most of the time he felt as if he was beating up the notion of love. He felt more in control if he knew he could beat it down instead of the other way around.

After a few months Dom’s body was showing the affects of the boxing. His arms, shoulders and back had become cut with new hard bulging muscles. His stomach developed the patented ‘six-pack’, and his ass was rock hard. He liked the way he looked. He liked the way it felt when he would run his hand along his stomach as he flexed his abs.

Billy was finally coming for a visit. He would be staying with Dom for three whole uninterrupted weeks. Dom was so excited it almost scared him. It was almost as if he was a child again, and Billy was Santa Clause.

As the day of Billy’s arrival got closer, Dom became more and more anxious. On the day of Billy’s arrival Dom decided he needed to work off some of his anxiety on the punchbag. He knew Billy would get a rental car at the airport and would be at his home soon, but figured he had plenty of time.

He changed into to his boxing clothes; tight cotton black shorts, workout shoes and his boxing gloves. He walked out into the garage hitting the button for the garage door to open, allowing a warm breeze to loft in from the ocean. He put his Linkin’ Park CD in the stereo he kept by the punchbag and started his workout.

As the music bore into his body his movements became stronger, harder and more intense. The jabs and upper cuts felt good to Dom. He bounced on his feet as he circled the punchbag.

When ‘Faint’ came on, he was really into his workout. He sang with the song, losing himself in the lyrics as he hit the bag harder.

I am a little bit of loneliness a little bit of disregard
Handful of complaints but I can’t help the fact
That everybody can see these scars
I am what I want you to want what I want you to feel
But it's like no matter what I do, I can't convince you,
To just believe this is real
So I let go, watching you, turn your back like you always do
Face away and pretend that I'm not
But I'll be here cause you want what I've got

As Dom screamed out the lyrics his mind wondered to New Zealand. He thought of how he, Elijah and Billy would sit for hours singing songs and talking about their meanings.

I can't feel the way I did before
Don't turn your back on me
I won't be ignored
Time won't heal this damage anymore
Don't turn your back on me
I won't be ignored

He feels like Billy has ignored him. Billy found a girl and suddenly Dom was no longer number one. Dom hit the punchbag with two fast upper cuts.

I am a little bit insecure a little unconfident
Cause you don't understand
I do what I can but sometimes
I don't make sense
I am what you never wanna say but
I've never had a doubt
It's like no matter what I do I can't convince you
For once just to hear me out

Dom knew he should say something to Billy about it. If he didn’t it would fester and come out somewhere else.

So I let go watching you turn your back like you always do
Face away and pretend that I'm not
But I'll be here 'cause you’re all that I've got

More uppercuts and then a jab at face height. “Fuckin Billy,” Dom said between screaming lyrics.

I can't feel the way I did before
Don't turn your back on me
I won't be ignored
Time won't heal this damage anymore
Don't turn your back on me
I won't be ignored

Dom thinks, “We were a team till he decided to dump me for her. I’m gonna tell that fucker just I think.” He picked up the pace with his feet and jabs.

Now
Hear me out now
You're gonna listen to me, like it or not
Right now
Hear me out now
You're gonna listen to me, like it or not
Right now

“If Billy thinks things are the way they were in New Zealand, he’s wrong,” Dom thought, “He’s changed, so have I.”

I can't feel the way I did before
Don't turn your back on me
I won't be ignored

As if he blinded by rage, Dom hit the punch bag with such force his eyes closed and sweat pored from his body.

I can't feel the way I did before
Don't turn your back on me
I won't be ignored
Time won't heal this damage anymore
Don't turn your back on me
I won't be ignored

Dom hit the punchbag with a flurry of uppercuts as he screamed out the lyrics.

I can't feel
Don’t turn your back on me
I won't be ignored
Time won't heal
Don't turn your back on me
I won't be ignored

As the music stopped, Dom hit the bag one last time and screamed, “Fuck you Billy!”

He was surprised at his anger towards his best mate. “Where the fuck did that come from,” he said aloud resting his hands on his hips. He panted trying to catch his breath.

Dom jumped and turned to the front of the garage when he heard a familiar Scottish voice ask, “That’s what I was wondering.”

~

It had been a few months since Billy last saw Dom. He had been standing there watching Dom in amazement. Dom’s movements and the way his body glittered with sweat had mesmerized him. Dom wore only small tight shorts showing off his incredible new body.

Billy could sense Dom’s anger as he screamed out the harsh lyrics and pounded the punchbag unmercifully. Billy had watched and admired Dom’s strength not wanting to say anything to stop Dom’s workout. Billy had planned to make a rude comment about Dom’s voice when the music stopped, but was shocked by Dom’s anger towards him when he didn’t even know Billy was standing there.

“God Billy, how long have you been standing there?” Dom walked towards Billy offering his hand out to take one of the bags next to Billy.

Billy shook his head and said, “Long enough to realize you could beat the fuck out of me for whatever I did to piss you off so badly.”

He handed over the heaviest of his suitcases to Dom’s awaiting hand. As Dom took the case his bicep flexed causing Billy’s stomach to flip. Now Billy wasn’t sure what he was feeling. He was angry at Dom for being angry with him for some unknown reason, and now he was angry at himself because of the way his body was reacting to the sight of Dom’s body.

Dom laughed and punched at Billy’s stomach stopping within an inch of it. “Better stay on your best behavior mate!” Dom turned and led the way into the house. Billy couldn’t stop his eyes from traveling down Dom’s powerful back to his tight ass. Those shorts left nothing to the imagination, and Billy felt himself smile.

Dom walked down the hallway to the spare room and placed the suitcase on the bed. From behind, Billy could see all the muscles in Dom’s back and arms flex as he lifted the heavy case. He was enjoying himself way too much he thought.

As Dom turned around he smiled. “Sorry about that out there, mate. Don’t know where that came from. Must have been some pent up anger left over from some prank never repaid!” Dom suddenly felt guilty for being angry and thinking such terrible things about his best mate.

“Come here and give me a hug. I’ve missed you.” Dom opened his arms and came towards Billy.

Billy giggled forgetting his anger as he started to back up, “No way man, you’re all sweaty.”

Dom laughed as he continued to back Billy up against the wall, “Come on Billy, give us a hug.”

As Billy walked back into the wall, Dom wrapped his arms around him and squeezed him tightly while shaking their bodies from side to side assuring that Billy’s clothes would now be covered in sweat.

Billy laughed as he protested Dom’s assault. Billy raised his hands to push Dom away, but found himself relishing in the feel of Dom’s muscles against his body. Suddenly he realized the twitch in his pants and he squirmed to get away from Dom’s hold before Dom felt his growing erection.

Dom laughed and let Billy go, “Sorry I’m no dressed. I thought I’d have time to work out and shower before you got here.”

Billy unconsciously looked Dom up and down, “You look great, mate.”

Dom smiled at his friend’s appreciation for his body. It made Dom’s heart flutter. “Thanks. Just let me get shower and change. Make yourself at home. You know where everything is.”

He walked past Billy to go to his room to change. He raised his fingers to his cheek and could feel the heat. He thought, “Fuck, am I blushing?”
