I forgot to fill in the blanks! Thanks for pointing this out and saving me the research time.

As for your suggestions, I really appreciate your input. I was, however, writing in that over-wordy style purposefully. I have a good amount of control over how i write a piece. It's good to hear how it's received by people, though, might be good to consider my approach a little more....
